Kansas City is so fortunate to be selected as the site for the 2008 National Genealogical Society Conference in the States and Family History Fair.  The nation’s genealogists will gather for a week of
special events and an outstanding conference from May 12 to May 17, 2008.

Borrowing on Missouri’s nickname, the conference is called “Show Me the Way to Our Nation’s Records.” Program and workshop topics include:
• Adoption research
• African-American research
• Computer topics
• DNA lectures
• Midwest topics
• Native American lectures
• Military records
• Methodology
• And a host of others

In addition, each day holds a special event, such as:

• Research Day at Mid-Continent Library’s new Midwest Genealogy Center
• “Show Me Missouri Wines”, an evening reception
• Historic sites tour in Independence and Kansas City
• And three others.
