Stirring Up History

This book is the recreation of the 1880 and then the 1903 Presbyterian Ladies Economy Cookbook. Printed by the First Presbyterian Church of Liberty, Missouri. The ladies identified themselves and were listed under their married husband's name, and we know next to nothing about them personally. Through careful research at the Clay County Archives, we were able to identify most of them and therefore write their life stories. It is our hope that you have your own cooking adventure while you learn about cooking during the turn of the century. Please consider stirring up a little history of your own.
