Carol was born in Clinton, Henry County, Missouri.  She moved to Clay County in 1950 and attended Englewood and Davidson Elementary School.  She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1960 and married Steve Olson in 1962.  

She retired in 1998 and began volunteering at the Archives in 1992 with her husband, Steve.  She enjoys reading, travel, genealogy and knitting.  She abhors cleaning and laundry.

Carol is a daily volunteer on Wednesdays.
