Ann was born in Brookfield, Linn County, Missouri and grew up in nearby Laclede (boyhood home of General John J. Pershing).  She graduated from William Jewell College, married, had three children, who gave her five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Ann taught various levels in Excelsior Springs and is a member of Second Baptist Church.

She fills in whenever she is needed at the Archives but mainly volunteers on Mondays and Tuesdays.  She is currently working on Civil Court cases and is updating Archives' house files.
